Source ownership

Inject the local store where events occur, mount one toaster near the application root and style tones through semantic tokens or local source.

Edit locallyThe installed template and stylesheet are application code, not a black box.

Accessibility contract

Ordinary notifications use status while error notifications use alert; each item includes a labelled dismissal control.

Keep messages concise, reserve error tone for urgent failure and ensure any action remains available elsewhere after automatic dismissal.
